add Bitcoin as a payment method

Bitcoin is a fiat cryptocurrency that is quickly gaining wider acceptance. I would like to see it enabled as an automated payment option.

        it is important that if bitcoin is added, that it does the whole thing, not only generate the bitcoin address for the payment, but also verifies payment, and takes care of the stock, reserves the item once the bitcoin payment address has been generated, and then if the item is not payed within a certain amount of hours puts the item back in stock.

        There are some shopping cart modules for bitcoin, but usually they only generate the bitcoin address and thats it, a complete solution would be great.

        It would be great to have bitcoin added as a payment processor.

        someone compare BitCoin as bookprinting but most thinking Internet and BitCoin are writing which make us different... i wish my children will use BitCoin instead money and modern banks ...

        BitCoin is great innovation, let start to use. BitCoin if i can compare and many many sorry IMHO much better than other you know... let BitCoin will available for everyone !

        I've not looked at this idea for six months - I'm extremely pleased to see that it has gained so much support. Cryptocurrencies, of which Bitcoin is one, are truly the way of the future.

        While I'm primarily interested in the political ramifications of widespread Bitcoin adoption, it is really a boon for merchants - imagine a payment method with no possibility of chargeback. No 3rd party payment processor to hold your funds, or to decide if they like the product you're selling. The benefits go on and on.

        Bitcoin is not "fiat." Fiat means, value by decree of government. Bitcoin's value derives solely from the marketplace, and is thus the very opposite of fiat.
