I suggest you ...

When sharing a Facebook store (or category, or product) on a page wall, generate a thumbnail and shop title on the link.

Right now, when posting the Facebook store url, no image or title appears, just a long and ugly link. It makes it difficult to properly advertise the shop!

I found a "workaround" on the forums which required hardcoding store id and item id. If that isn't the solution, then please link to the actual solution.

However, with the recent additions of new sharing buttons, the share button is sorely missing. Using a solution or workaround for the store owner isn't a problem. Customers want to share things they like to facebook with their friends and they need an easy solution. I cannot understand why a slew of sharing buttons were added, but a post to facebook wasn't.

Qetzal, please could you give us a link to the forum topic with the solution you've mentioned?

        > "Yes please! We really need this facility to be able to promote individual items in our store and had thought that this would be a given. Right now, we are having to upload a picture of the item and then link to the store, but even that is only linking in general to the store, and not to the linked item. Anyone know how to fix this?"

As I remember, the solution has already been posted on our forums.

This is a huge problem. With online retail social media is everything! We have considered switching from ecwid just to fix this.

If you guys come up with a solution it will make this cart system so much better.

actually want this feature EVERYWHERE - pinterest is a huge site for sharing products - need to be able to link back via images...

I totally agree! Updating or adding a listing to the shop without an image gets no attention at all. My work-around at this point - is to add an image to Facebook, and link the product (In my case One-Of-A-Kind Jewelry) back to the Ecwid URL.

Time consuming - yes, and it may not work for everyone. But it's a thought!
