Add / remove one or more fields (to customize) on orders / customize checkout fields
so it could be possible to ask for specifics questions i.e. "is it a present ? Y/N" or "time of delivery morning or afternoon" or anything we can need depending of the specific business we do

WHAT DO WE NEED TO DO TO GET AN ADMIN TO GIVE US A STATUS UPDATE??? I don't understand why we can't get any communication from Ecwid...Please let us know what is taking so long, and when you foresee this being available. I'm very dissatisfied with the lack of dialogue with the very company I'm paying each month. :(

Yes being able to add and remove fields in the checkout area is essential so people can customize it to their business.

Will an admin please provide us with a status update, as none has been provided since the project was started more than 8 months ago. We are all eagerly anticipating the release of this upgrade and would appreciate some indication of its completion. This idea is now 3-4 years in the making and we are counting on Ecwid to showcase its progress sooner than later. :) Is there more feedback you would like or anything else your customers can provide to speed up this new feature? A little assurance would go a long way is easing our anticipation. Thank you kindly...

We do delivery or pickup only on Tuesdays and Fridays. In order for orders to be ready, we require people order by end of day Tuesday to pick up on Friday and end of day Friday to pick up on Tuesday. We need a calendar where customers can choose which day they will be picking up or getting delivery, and it needs to be smart enough to know that if someone orders on Sunday, it doesn't allow them to choose that same Tuesday. This should be very useful for everyone, considering how much interest we see on the forums. Very disappointed it's been on the books since 2010, apparently.....
We also need more than ONE customizable field on the checkout page, as many times we need different information from them pertinent to the order, i.e. allergies that could kill someone...People don't pay attention to product choices, so we need to make sure they are required to provide certain info pertaining to the entire order, and not bother them on every single product choice.
For the most part, this platform rcoks. We just need a couple of standard items added. The previous company we were using had rules (if, then rules). This really helps to make the platform our own, and get it to function specific to our business.
Thanks for working diligently to provide a quality product.

Checkout Functionality That I think is missing:
1) Delivery Date Selector in the Checkout.
This should work so that customers can select a delivery date for their goods to arrive on.
It should be possible to set non delivery dates in the admin so that customers cannot select a delivery date that deliveries are not made on (i.e weekends or national holidays or what ever other dates that the company can not make a delivery on) or indeed should not be able to select a date in the past (unlike the current date selector!)
The selector could also be linked to shipping methods (as we already have the delivery lead time option in shipping methods). This would then show delivery dates available based on the delivery method the customer has chosen.
An advanced option would be to have the ability to set an order cut off point so that, for example next day deliveries are only available if an order is placed before a certain time.
2) Delivery Options with fixed additional costs
Additional delivery / checkout options should be created so that vendors can offer additional fixed cost services or no cost services, such as : is this a gift Yes or No. This would work in all sorts of instances, such as: Delivery Time? Morning Delivery (+£5) or any time delivery (+£0), or do you want this gift wrapping yes (+£2.50) or no (+£0)

I have a customer who wants this functionality also. Is there any kind of projected implementation date for this?

Please dont forget to add a delivery date selector in the checkout.. one that can be configured for non delivery dates and that is aware of the current date (unlike to one available in the product options, which is pretty useless)

я тоже жду упрощённой системы. неужели нельзя её сделать? очень нужная вещь

Would be a very useful addition. For marketing reasons it is important to be able to track where each order comes from so that we can see what works and what doesn't.

My shop offers basically 2 ways of delivery:
1. EMS post delivery
2. Manual delivery to closest metro station.
80% of my customers use the way manual delivery.
They hate to fill in detailed address information as soon as it is not neede for delivery at all. That's why I add my vote for quickest development of this feature.
