Add / remove one or more fields (to customize) on orders / customize checkout fields
so it could be possible to ask for specifics questions i.e. "is it a present ? Y/N" or "time of delivery morning or afternoon" or anything we can need depending of the specific business we do
hi, i'm michael, i need to ask to each one of my client which bank they from, because i save money when they pay directly from the website of their bank.
i realy would like to be able to add a "name of your bank" field in the client signup form
if it is already possible, please tell me how. create a separate contact form in a securised script will be very expensive for me.
have a nice day
In a lot of countries we do not use "state". I would be nice to be able to customize the information needed from the custemer.
For italian ecommerce the registration form must contains custom fields such us partita iva and codice fiscale. Company name can not be renamed because it'important too for customer registration.
I would like to see a field where I could find out how someone heard about our company. Is this possible?
this is so you could ask a question for example - 'how did you find our store - options then picked from say radio buttons or drop down etc before placing order and it then shows in customers order in backend...
Option to configure Payment form
I run an equipment hire company. My customers need to let me know when they want their order to arrive, but to have to do that on every item in the order would be tedious to say the least. Is there any way the existing delivery date feature could be modified and added to the checkout process so they only have to put the date in once?
You can add custom checkout fields with the help of the Checkout Questions app from the Ecwid App Market now.
The app is paid with a free trial and available for Ecwid subscribers beginning from the Venture plan.
Very nice to hear from Ecwid, that "it's a must" feature for which many of early adopters were waiting for about 6 years, now is paid app.... even for Silver plan users.
"Sign up for paid plan and you wont have to pay more forever. Vote for ideas and we will add most wanted features.... and some other bla-bla from Ecwid....
Ждать смысла походу нет. Чую придется использовать не еквид для торговли...
Leave Ecwid because miss of this essential feature 4 years ago. Idea started 7 years ago.
Folks forget about customized checkout. It will never inplemented =)
Guys, two solutions:
(1) Imperfect, but working: For legacy data, I'm using the excel formulas here to do the heavy lifting, and the spot checking for instances of company name or or middle names or what have you. http://www.extendoffice.com/documents/excel/829-excel-split-first-last-name.html#a1
(2) For you MailChimp folks out there: I'm having Big Pixels' "MailChimp Integration App" import customer details on checkout to import directly to a new customer list in MC. HUGE time saver, and so far it's importing names correctly. Have a look in the apps widget in the EC dashboard. As of this writing, it's free of charge. It lives here: http://www.bigpixels.com/mailchimp-integration-for-ecwid/
any hope on this one? at least almost 2000 votes within 3 and half years

Customers complete order with first name only even though it asks for 'full name'. Tried workaround by replacing company with last name but that only made the records confusing. Need to have first and last names required.
This is a MUST have feature at this point. We have used ecwid for years and have two accounts (retail and wholesale). Too many people either have the same fname lname they put into the full name field OR they only put their first name in this field. We would LOVE to see a field for first name, middle initial and last name. I can't see how this would be a project that takes several years to implement. Please do so for all of us paying users of ecwid. Thanks!
Voting for this feature as well.
My business is based in Singapore, where the entire country is just the size of a typical city. We have no states, provinces, and there's only ONE city. So it's pretty dumb to be asking customers to even fill in the city name...

we are a clinical lab and we need to collect some required information from our patients during the lab test profile sales process.
in shipping form , I am looking for few drop downs which are specific to my shipping place as I do not deliver to customer mentioned address. Hence need few drop down fields as shipping places.
Not sure when can I get this.
After using Ecwid for several years successfully, I have run into many duplicate names like John Smith. Most people don't add a middle name or initial so I make one up or add a ..
I would like to see a required M.I. field please. I haven't seen or found this mentioned yet.
