iDeal payment support
I'd like to see support for ideal payment, the system used in the Netherlands for online payment through online banking.

This feature would boost Ecwid onto the Dutch online shopping scene BIG time. Integrating IDEAL should technically speaking not be a big deal at all. Within a day you should have it up and running easily. So please please go for It and incorporate IDEAL into Ecwid. Ecwid is great BTW.

No, I dont think so, concrete5 has the ability to display html blocks. Although it would be great if you could manage the shop from the backend.

I would love to see IDEAL implemented to the payment system. Hope it happens soon. More customer friendly for dutch customers.

X-cart offers iDeal already since 2006, so the knowledge on how to do it is already in "the house".
Also, some Payment Servive Providers are more than willing to help you out with the development. For instance, MultiSafePay writes on its website:

@Qetzal: personally. I am not a big fan of introducing third party Payment Service Providers inbetween the buyer-bank-seller chain, like Mollie is. Not only do they charge more money than banks do, they also impose an extra risk for the seller since they sit on the money until the end of the month, before the seller can transfer it into its bank account (for a fee, offcourse). Whereas you use IDEAL as it is supposed to, the money goes straight from the buyer into the account of the seller, which I would... more

All major banks provide "DIY" apps for designers and developers and help with implementation.
ABN AMRO bank has "iDEAL Zelfbouw" which translates as iDEAL "build it yourself" ING bank offers iDEAL advanced and RABO bank provides Rabo iDEAL Professional, all basicly the same app which you can implement in your JAVA-, PHP- or NET-environment yourself.

This supportsite is in Dutch only, still you might try to contact the webmaster for more info. He has been very helpful with implementing iDEAL in a WP-ecommerce site I did. In fact, with help of the simulator the site offers, implementing iDEAL was a piece of cake.
For me, the omission of iDEAL in ECWID has been a dealbreaker. I was very enthusiastic about ECWID when the beta came out but the lack of support for iDEAL chased me away. Running a webshop in the Netherlands without iDEAL is simply no option.

I informed them about Ecwid and now i inform you about them. Maybe they are the missing puzzle in this case. Respect to everybody, but what I have been missing in all the comments is the helping hand for Ecwid.
